Does anyone else have a love/hate relationship with grocery shopping? I just got back from Wegmans, and now I have to put everything away. I seriously love going grocery shopping, especially later at night when there are less people around. But damn do I hate putting everything away. Especially because my roommate insists that everything that goes in the freezer has to be vacuum packed. Even the veggies that are already IN A BAG. That just seems like overkill to me.
But, I lucked out on a lot of stuff. They were having a sale on chicken breasts and ground meat. I'm so excited, now I can stretch those into meals for at least a month or two. Most people in my area think Wegmans is crazy expensive, but honestly, their self-branded stuff is such great quality for cheap. All the meats are great, so much better than the local stores where meats always seem 'off'. And the people are nicer, which is so so important to me!
I also picked up crescent rolls, the ones in the tubes. I want to roll them out and fill some of them with pizza fixings and some with Nutella or peanut butter. Haven't decided that bit yet. I never went to college, so my friends like to joke that I'm just now at 26 eating like a college student. Would you rather eat peanut butter or Nutella? I'd do both, but some people in my group don't like Nutella (I don't know why we're friends). On a Nutella related note, is Biscoff any good? I'm not sure I understand what biscuit spread is, so I'm hesitant to try it. It was in the British section of the International aisle. Any insight would be greatly appreciated, I like trying new foods.
