A few things I recall:
1. "I never met a black person before, I've only seen them on tv." Giddy up, here's a biscuit.
2."Black people are so lucky, the don't get acne/burns/". Nope. Never.
3. "Well, I don't mean you. Your not like them." Like who? Those other blacks.
4. When reading To Kill a Mockingbird, the teacher takes the time to ask "What do you think of this? What is your perspective?" and the whole class just stares at the token negro who gets to speak. I answered rather proudly "I didn't read it. Seemed boring." I did, it was shit.
5."Why can't white people listen to black music?" I dunno, are they deaf?!
