A very standard summer time activity in the States is a road trip. Pack up the car, hit the open road, and see America. I have driven around quite a bit of my country. I have road tripped to Austin, Denver, St. Louis, DC, Boston and many points in between during the summer months. Each road trip had a different soundtrack, but they all had one. What kind of music do you listen to on long trips?

For a stretch of about five years after this album came out I would listen to this song at the start of every road trip.

This song works best when road tripping in a group. It lifts spirits, and people seem to not mind being cramped in a confined space for hours at a time.

This next one is mostly to make me feel better about how many places I haven’t been.

This last one is to get it stuck in your head. That way you have to find a song to contribute just to get the earworm of the guitar riff out of your head.

What? At least I’m being honest.
