Welcome To The Bitchery

Fuck these people.

Warning - cuss-filled rant ahead. Buzzfeed just posted an article from some workers who would be affected if Netflix and Disney chose to stop doing business in Georgia.

Six people who currently work in production in Atlanta told BuzzFeed News they feared a Hollywood boycott could mean they won’t be able to pay their bills, afford their housing, or health insurance.

“It’s ultimately hurting more people than it is going to do any justice,” a 39-year-old best boy grip told BuzzFeed News about a possible boycott. The grip preferred to remain anonymous because, like many other staffers who spoke to BuzzFeed News, he was afraid of losing his job.

He’s trying so hard to be a victim... But he’s a privileged fucking male (and I bet all 6 of them are male too) that worry about his own hurt when women will be forced to carry their rapists’s fetus.

I fucking hope they do lose their jobs. They don’t deserve them in the first place. I hope they get doxed because everyone they work with should know those fuckers.

It’s not going to affect the politicians and the actors,” he said. “They’re still going to keep going to work in other places like they always have. But with us here, it’s going to destroy us.”

And what about non-millionaire women who need jobs in the film industry!? Should they just suck it up and move to a state where they have 0 human rights??

“I think many people who work for us will not want to work there, and we will have to heed their wishes in that regard,” Disney CEO Bob Iger told Reuters on Wednesday when asked about the boycott.

THANK YOU. Not everyone who works for Disney/etc is a privileged fucking male who won’t have to worry about being raped by some disgusting conservative pig and sent to prison if she tries to abort in another state!

Leaving the state, however, only hurts those who work in production and are trying to make ends meet, according to a 38-year-old key grip based in Atlanta who also did not want to use his name for fear of retribution.

Another male acting like a victim.

“None of us voted for this, and we shouldn’t have to suffer because of what the politicians decided,” he told BuzzFeed News. “This only hurts us and it certainly doesn’t solve anything. Two wrongs don’t make a right.”

You voted those people in office. And two wrongs? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!?!?!? There’s a hierarchy of needs here. Sure, people need jobs. But people also need bodily autonomy and that comes first.

One of the only ways we can press back against these vile misogynists is by not doing business with them. I truly hope this shitstain loses his job.

Moore, who moved to Atlanta three years ago to pursue more production jobs like Brightburn, Doom Patrol, and Donald Glover’s Atlanta, wants TV shows and films to continue shooting in Georgia instead of abandoning its employees. She distributed stickers and signs that say #StayAndFightGeorgia to different sets for people to take photos with and post online.

So they can move to Georgia. But they can’t move away? I call bullshit. This is some conservative propaganda intended to prevent studios from pulling away.

“On the one hand, it’s good for them to take a stand, but at the same time, I’m just not sure that it’s the right approach,” Min told BuzzFeed News. “I think that’ll leave the people in the state in a more dire situation.”

It will. So leave. Apparently you had enough resources to move there. I bet if pressed said studios would help with relocation.
