It's my birthday. I don't say that because I want birthday wishes - for a variety of reasons, I don't. I've never been comfortable with people wishing me happy birthday, and I have always begged out of the card giving that goes around workplaces. No, I say this because it sets up my Facebook question. I'm getting birthday wishes on Facebook, some from good friends that I appreciate having, and some from random acquaintances that have ended up in my Facebook friends. Is it wrong for me to just respond to the people I like and ignore the rest? I've gone ahead and done that, and posted a jokey message apologizing for not replying to everyone, but do I need to go in and say something to everyone nice enough to say something?
