ETA: THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE GT GARAGE SALE.
Remember how Depreciation of Value is a thing that exists?
This weekend I saw lots of things that if I had a fancy phone, I would have taken pics of and posted, just for the LOLs.
My favorites included:
1 table "probably oak" which was missing two (?!!) legs for sale on my street. $150 OBO. The table is not solid wood, let alone 'probably oak'.
'faux leather' boots and shoes from Target and Kmart, $15 each. Average condition. Scrapes/tears on the heels and toes. Since these aren't even leather, it's not like you can oil them down to make the damage less noticeable.
A pack and play (or knock off/similar item) from 1997 - $35. This lady then tried to say it wasn't that old - despite me showing her the safety tag that clearly showed it was from 1997. I tried to haggle since really - that price is ridiculous. Seriously - they are $64 when brand new and up to code. I don't know where she got off on asking for that much.
I make no apologies for my inanity this time.
