Gentle reminder to be gentle with yourself today and in the coming weeks. I took a mental health day from class today.
Between Orlando, my grandmother passing, and stuff that got brought up for me via the Stanford case, I feel like I need to pull way back and just focus on only what’s absolutely necessary. Rest. Water. Food. Taking care of myself physically. Finding and offering emotional support.
I thought it would be good to post some ideas here for self-care, if you wish to do so, in the comments. Here are some I’m practicing today:
-Have a favorite meal (I’m making mac and cheese later)
-Wear a favorite outfit or comfy clothes
-Cuddle a pet
-Watch a favorite film
-Listen to music that is calming or uplifting.
