My little nephew just turned a year old and one of his gifts from me (it will really end up being for my sister) is a scrapbook I have made of his first year. The way did the book from his point of view - meaning all of the captions are written as though he is the "narrator" of the scrapbook. It isn't in baby talk or anything like that, but the writing is simpler than if I had done it from my own point of view. I thought this way would be cuter than writing it from a third person pov, but now that it is done I am wondering if my choice was a bad one. Do you think that I was wrong to try to be his voice? Does anyone think my sister (his mother) will be put off by this? Am I unnecessarily second guessing myself?
