So, we moved in September and I've stupidly been procrastinating on updating my voter registration and I went to finally go do it today but it turns out I most likely won't be able to vote in the midterm elections since you have to register at least 20 days prior where I am (MA). UGHHHHH. I'm crossing my fingers that it isn't a hard and fast 20 days and that I'll be able to vote come November 4th anyway. Why does it take so long to process this stuff, though, really? I'm torn between being frustrated with myself for never seeming to learn and stop putting things off and being bewildered as to why, exactly, they need nearly a month to process registrations or why moving in-state fucking invalidates your previous registration in the first place.

Anyway, my only solace is that at least I live in a sufficiently blue state, so there isn't too much concern that my missing vote will matter all that much, but still.
