Some of you may remember that a couple of months ago I posted about hearing how my granny had breast cancer. Well, she had her mastectomy about a month ago and had been waiting for the results. They have just come in and... all clear!
She's in for a 4 week course of radiotherapy, will have to take a daily tablet (to add to the million that people her age always do), regular bone density checks and annual mammograms, but this is all such a small price to pay to be told by the consultant that it's all clear, they're very pleased with the outcome, and she's going to be okay.
PHEW. Time to let out that breath I didn't realise I'd been holding since last month.
