YOU GUISE - I'M IN TROUBLE.
So, on New Year's Eve, I brought out our toasting flutes from our wedding to pour our champagne into. Like a good June Cleaver (rare occurrence), I washed them very carefully, dried the outside with a soft cloth, and placed them flute side down to dry without spots on the counter.
Of course, I forgot to, you know, actually put them away.
So tonight, in the midst of celebrating getting my applications done, and in between my second and third glass of wine, I made myself a grilled cheese sandwich. AWESOME IDEA. Until I went to grab a knife out of the knife block and KNOCKED OVER THE CAPTAIN'S TOASTING FLUTE, SHATTERING THE STEM.
YOU GUISE - this is a limited edition Lennox glass with a hand blow indigo stem that was engraved with "Captain", his name, and our wedding date on it. I am devastated.
WHAT DO I DOOOOOOOOOO?????
