I'm from St.Louis originally, and it's customary for children there to tell jokes before they can receive candy while trick-or-treating. So, in honor of the other Halloween posts today, I want to know if you told jokes or even if your hometown/city had any peculiar Halloween traditions. Supposedly St.Louis is one of the few places in the U.S. where telling jokes is a thing, but I'm still not sure I believe that. :p

By the way, the only childhood Halloween joke I can remember is, "Why didn't the skeleton cross the road? ... Because he had no guts!"
