Alright Groupreaders - Do you have your novels acquired, your loins girded, and your Wikipedia tab open? It's time to start reading War and Peace. This week's reading is short and sweet.
This week we'll be reading the first ten chapters in part one. If you're using the Pevear/Volokhonsky translation, that's 45 pages of text. Trifling. You may want to use this time to read the P/V introduction or the introduction in your own edition (if reading introductions are your thing).
ETA: For those who still want in, check out this post by Kirov for more info, but give us a holler in this post!
ETA2a: If you have questions or want to reach me or Kirov directly off-board, you can email Kirov at email@example.com or me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
ETA2b: It looks like Sunday will be our discussion day for the near future. We will see what the turnout is. Look for an email notification that the post has been published. To reiterate - discussion will take place here on Groupthink. The email is to notify you and give you the link. Look for the first email Sunday morning-ish (timezones notwithstanding).
