First off, no, I’m not pregnant. Yet.

As a teacher, the cycle of our year makes being pregnant/taking maternity leave difficult at pretty much any time. Ideally, I’d love to be delivering in the middle of July, then I probably won’t have to miss any of the school year. That’s our goal for November, get me pregnant so I can have a baby and not miss work. What happens if I don’t get knocked up the one ideal month? We don’t know yet. The husband keeps saying we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. Hmmph.

So, my question for the other teachers here, especially any with kids is: If you could time a pregnancy, when would you choose to deliver? Do morning sickness concerns fit into your thought process? Am I just seriously overthinking all of this?
