Not only did Franklin take the first photos of DNA, she also solved the structure of the tobacco mosaic virus, and led research on the structure of the polio virus. She most certainly would have deserved a Nobel Prize along with Watson and Crick for her contribution to the discovery of the DNA helix had she not died far too young.
