Book Lovers Day should be a national day off holiday, but since it isn’t, let’s just chat. What’s your favorite book ever? What’s your favorite book you’ve read this year?

I don’t really have a favorite book, but I’ll say that A Prayer for Owen Meany is exceptionally important in my reading life as the book that helped me transition from childhood reading to adulthood reading. I want to re-read Station Eleven and The Savage Detectives because those are towards the top of my list of best books I’ve read and could be “favorites” if I ever get around to taking a second look at them.

My favorite book so far this year has been Borne by Jeff VanderMeer, although I’m currently halfway through Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik and that could also be a contender.

What books are you thinking about this Book Lovers Day?
