Today's the day in 1973 that the Supreme Court issued its decision that the right to privacy extends to a woman's decision to have an abortion. In reading up on it, I found it interesting that the court explicity rejected a "fetal right to life" argument, and deemed abortion a fundamental right, requiring laws restricting it to undergo strict scrutiny.
