For those who don't know who he is, he was the executive producer of Parks and Rec, occasionally appearing as Harris, the animal control guy. He coined the term "humblebrag" and ran the twitter feed. He worked on lots of other things too, but those are the two things that I'll remember him most for.

He was a comedic genius. He helped give us Leslie Knope, Pawnee, Indiana, and lots of other things that gave joy to many of our lives.

Tabloids are saying he died of a drug overdose. He was 30 years old.

Everyone in my family has struggled with addiction. It is a disease, it is insidious, and it kills. Dying from a drug overdose is like dying of cancer: you are killed by a disease. It is also often a symptom of depression.

If someone in your life or someone you love is struggling with depression, please please please do what you can to support them. Remember that their addiction isn't weakness, it's not lack of willpower, it's not a personality flaw. It is an illness.
