So my job happens to be located within 2 blocks of probably 25 fast casual restaurants—which means for my first few weeks, I was buying lunch. Every. Single. Day.

A quick glance at my debit card bill has informed me that this behavior needs to be cut out ASAP.

This week I've done a really good job of bringing lunch! My issue is that I also don't eat breakfast, so I need to bring a lot of food so I can split it up between breakfast and lunch. For the last few weeks, I would bring a special K bar or something and a fruit cup and have that for breakfast and then go buy a big lunch.

So far in my experimental week of bringing my own lunch, I've been bringing a lot of small pre-packaged things—snack bags of carrots, fruit snacks, yogurt, fruit cups, bananas, chips—and sometimes some sort of leftover thing like this yummy asian coleslaw stuff I made for dinner on Monday.

I would definitely cut down on some spending if I could buy some of those things in bulk, but right now I don't have a way to transport them. So I'm going to reward myself for my new money saving bring-lunch plan by...uh...spending money on a bento box.

Do any of you have suggestions for good ones?

I definitely want one with a sauce cup since I do a lot of veggies + dip. I'd like it to be able to fit a sandwich or at least a half sandwich, and possibly have a separate section for the meat and cheese because I am a bit of a weirdo and get grossed out when sandwich bread gets moist.
