I am cooking for one of my favorite people. I can get a little too hung up on what I like to eat (very savory food) and what I like to cook - one pan meals and hearty appetizers to take the pressure off the entree. I want to show off a little, but its also a weeknight meal. Here is my idea. Feedback welcome.
Appetizer: Pear gorgonzola naan. Kind of like this.
Entree: pork chop with hazelnuts and apple endive salad
Desert: Apple crisp with homemade vanilla/bourbon Crème fraîche (made ahead of time)
Too much? Too savory?
