I need your expertise.
Been giving to my local food~bank for 3 weeks, mostly food items & some cleaners. Started stocking up early, so I had extra on hand, blah blah blah.
SNAP & WIC don’t cover hygiene, diapers or cleaners. Last week I opened up boxes/bags of pads I had on hand & bought 4 boxes of tampons to make 13 baggies of one month’s worth of menstrual supplies.
I called out to my friends & sisters for these “uncovered” supplies this week to donate to our local food pantries & they answered, so beautifully hard.
Question: Should I open up the diapers & make individual packages that will last a Mother & Baby for a few days, so as to make sure more Mothers have diapers? If so, how many diapers? Or, should I keep the diaper donations intact, so one or two Mothers have a better supply?
Note: My sisters & friends rose to the call. We’ve lost or are losing some of our people this week. My whole heart has been sleeping until 11am, for no good reason, but it’s okay. I feel all of you that are doing the same. Meaning, to all of you, whatever gets you from one day to the next.
Thank you in advance for your advice & experise~ xoxo
