I got drunk two nights ago and called my dad and told him that I'm an atheist. I mentioned antitheism because I'm leaning in that direction. His reaction was... Really funny.
He said, "roma, whatever floats your boat. You're my daughter and I love you."
AAAHHH! He actually laughed. I guess I presented my beliefs in a humorous way. But I was so surprised because my dad has always been a very religious person. This whole "you do you" thing is strange and awesome.
It's very, very weird to me to be able to talk to my parents like this. But wonderful. I think that as their kids grow up, they are realizing that we are people with our own thoughts and beliefs and they accept who we are.
