House of Commons Approves Combat Mission in Iraq.

I don't know if anyone else has posted about this yet, but it all just went down yesterday. As the title suggests, I am not happy about it. But our dearly beloved PM (lol) has been waiting for his opportunity to flex our big Canadian muscle (lol no) and here it is. I mean what else did Canadians think he wanted to do with all those fighter jet purchases he convinced voters to approve during the last election?

Maybe I'm naive, but this is not what Canada means to me. This is not what we do. I realize that that's a rather simplistic argument for a complex issue, but I don't like what this country has become under Harper's reign of fear mongering. It's absolutely disheartening to see the country that you love turn into whatever the hell we are now.

I don't support this action. My heart goes out to the Canadian men and women who signed up to protect this country, but instead are being sent out to fight for Stephen Harper's Conservative legacy.
