My little niece came over the other day and because her mother is pregnant she was asking all the women if they were pregnant and how the baby "got inside" the mother. My sister and I were at a loss as to how to explain it to her (or even if we should) but her mom jumped in and told her God put the baby inside of her. This seemed to satisfy my niece and it didn't surprise me that her mom didn't allude to baby-making even vaguely as I come from a verrrrrry religious family.
It got me thinking: what did you tell your kids when they asked? Did your religion or your beliefs about appropriateness influence how or what you told them? Maybe age was a factor? I wanna hear your stories!
