I've lived kind of a blessed life. Most of my influences growing up were strong women, I went to a decidedly feminist women's college, a majority of my career has been under very female dominant teams or businesses. So to me, it's always a little jarring when I run into someone who immediately hears the word Feminist and equates it to "Man hating killjoy" because they don't know it as anything else.

How do you explain what feminism means in a nutshell to those people? Do they just get defensive and rude or dismissive? That's been my experience, even when I point out that immediately ignoring and going straight for "angry bitches be crazy" is the exact problem. Just curious what your experiences trying to explain it has been.
