So my boyfriend's birthday is the 28th, and I just ordered something online for him, but it won't be shipped till March 4 because it's not in warehouse. Which is fine...I realize that I bought this late, and it said it might take 1-2 weeks to process before shipping, so I was aware of that before purchase. It's my fault...I mean, this month has flown by and I didn't even realize it was the 12th today, sigh. Anyway, I'm getting him other things, but how do I approach telling him (on his birthday) that hey, I got you this gift, but it won't be here until the first week of March? Should I make him a card or something? Tell him what happened? Meh, I'm making a bigger deal of this than I guess I should be, but I don't want him to think that I was like...negligent (I can't think of a better word) about getting him a good gift on time.

Thanks, GT.
