also a little drunk, so bear with me:

I had a really good time. We sat and hung out and talked for about three hours and it felt like it just flew by. He paid for my meal and drinks, which was really nice and unexpected. He even brought up the fact that this was a little weird straddling the line between being friends for such a long time and now looking towards potentially dating, but he straight up said "I like you, I feel like there could be potential for something more between us, and I don't want to put any pressure for us to rush into anything or dive into the deep end, but at the same time, I want you to know that I am interested in finding out if we could work in a romantic relationship, and that's my intention going forward." And that quite sincerely took the words straight out of my mouth. Truly, that's exactly what I had been wanting to communicate to him as well so I can't tell you how refreshing it was to have a man be able to share that with me right from the get go.

I don't know guys, I have a really good feeling about this! We agreed to get together next week and cook dinner at his house. Eeek! We admitted to each other that neither one of us really knows how this is supposed to go since we have never been in any kind of a similar situation before, but I think we are just going to give it a shot.
