The charger port on my phone partially melted onto the charger. I don't know how. It was hard to unplug the cable yesterday morning, but I chalked it up to being half asleep. Then I plugged it in last night after dinner and nothing happened. I took off the case thinking maybe it was getting in the way somehow (I've had it on for a couple months and it's never been a problem, but you never know) and realized the plastic all around the port was deformed. There's a hole melted nearly all the way through the body on the back, right above the port. I looked more closely at the end of the charger, and it's warped too. The metal is discolored. The guys at the phone store were kind of impressed.

I shouldn't be surprised. I have a bad track record with electricity and electronic devices. I go through batteries and lightbulbs like tissues. Anything that could possibly go wrong with a phone, tablet, computer, fax machine, copier, you name it, will happen in my hands. Friends and family are afraid to let me touch their devices. Sometimes I think the universe is trying to tell me I'm supposed to be Amish.
