So, Ewa Michalak is a Polish bra company. I love their site: there's size diversity in their models, their bras are pretty, and honestly, I was desperate enough to order from anywhere.
I ordered five bras, and it took them almost a month to arrive, and then they DID arrive, but I had to go to the post office to pick them up (do not get me started on the post office). So, what do I think of them?
They're very nicely made. They shapes are a bit different than what I've found in the States, but I'm fine with that, because what I can find here doesn't work for me. I ordered a few band and cup size combinations, because honestly it's a bit of a guessing game no matter what, and ordering from a whole new country and in a whole new sizing schema meant I was extra unsure what my size was.
Out of the five I ordered, two of them fit! Well, they fit enough that I will certainly keep them, and may even order more of them. I don't know that I'd describe them as comfortable, but I think when you get into the large cup sizes, ain't nothing gonna be really comfortable. They are certainly supportive.
Meanwhile, I've been working on my whole bra-customization redesign project. I have been making many sketches:
And I put together a paper bra from a pattern that Dangertits recommended to me:
and I have also bought two patterns from a Finnish site called makebra, which I will use to make sketch models of my concepts.
All my concepts and sketches are driven by the research survey so many of you were kind enough to partake in, by the way. I learned some amazing things. Everyone at school was deeply jealous that I had so many participants, and therefore, such clear research directions. YOU ARE ALL AMAZING AND I LOVE YOU.
