Great news! I'm running again!
So, for those of you playing along at home, I was diagnosed with a significant labral tear of the left hip back in the fall of last year, while I was training to run a half-marathon. I had to stop running immediately to avoid damaging things further and had to undergo surgery and physical therapy. Worst of all, the surgeon's office said that in most cases like mine, they would strongly recommend never running again.
Well, my surgeon changed his mind after seeing how well I responded to surgery and PT. He green-lit me to run again, so long as I didn't do anything stupid and rested at least 1-2 days after every run. I've been hitting the running path again and just ran 2.35 miles on Sunday at 8:20/mile with no pain at all!!! I'm back, y'all!
