The wife from the “husband announces pregnancy to wife” video that was going around last week just announced that she had a miscarriage. Of course I feel sorry for this woman and her husband, but the whole situation was weird from the beginning and has just gotten stranger. They tweeted that the “tiny baby” they lost was a blessing because it brought them 10 million YouTube views (???). You have to be a special kind of person to constantly vlog your personal life (apparently these people release a video EVERY DAY), but this is just next level TMI creepiness. I honestly feel sad for these people and their kids; it seems like their whole life is a performance and that creates a very skewed perspective.
ETA: I’m not questioning whether the pregnancy and miscarriage was real, or that they are genuinely in pain over it. Just that this whole situation is very strange, with their personal events being so directly tied to views and clicks and follows. (And then there’s the pro-life messaging underlying it all...)
