I'm standing behind a one-way, soundproof mirror, and everyone else is on the other side - my family, my friends, my boyfriend, my coworkers, the people who come into my job every day.
And I'm pounding on the glass and screaming at the top of my lungs "someone notice me, I need your help. I'm not ok. Just ask if I'm ok. SOMEONE SEE ME."
But no one can see me, or hear me. No one notices me screaming or thrashing or crying, and I'm just wasting my breath.
I'm wondering how much louder I have to yell before someone can hear me. I just want to break the glass.
Does any of what I'm saying make sense?
