I know we're always supposed to shop the 'little guy' or at least 'the guy who was there first' but I usually give my money to the place that can get me what I want at a reasonable price. It helps if the product is of better quality. As an example, if Starbucks has a tastier coffee, is open at hours that I need it to be, and has more varieties of coffee at various prices - I'll probably shop there. If a local grocery store has crappy produce, no siracha/tofu/brown rice/whatever and high prices - I'll probably go to the new chain located close by.
Does anybody else feel no loyalty and not feel badly about it at all? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
