Welcome To The Bitchery

I feel somewhat accomplished tonight. I woke up this morning, the first of four days off of work and initially felt pretty awful. New and strange pains are happening everyday like clockwork now that I am in my third trimester. With a long list of things to do I felt like the day was going to be a total flop given how bad I felt. I decided to stay in bed and watch TV now that we've switched our bedrooms around I have a TV/DVD player at the other end of the room. It kind of rules. I fell asleep for another hour or so and awoke to kitty stomping on my chest batting his lil paws at my face telling me it was time to wake up. It would seem that he is in love with our new sheets because he will lay in bed all day long curled up in them.

Ran some errands and went to Home Depot which is my new favorite place now that I'm decorating and in craft mode. I got a tension rod for a closet, priced out some curtain bar/ rod things (omg they are expensive), bought paint and primer and hardware for the dresser I am painting for the nursery (I hate calling it that but until we have a name for baby, it is just being referred to that way). My Mom was nice enough to give me the dresser and while it is quality wood its just too dark. I got right to work when I got home and removed all the hardware, scrubbed the dirt off of it and sanded down the nicks in the wood and where the handles had left groves and primed it. After letting it dry for a few hours I laid down the first layer of paint (no photo of that) and I'm really happy with how it looks so far. I've only spray painted cheap furniture (fake wood) so I was a little worried about how this dresser would turn out. I got new knobs for it too and I can't wait until it is finished and I can do an official before and after. So yeah, that was a lot of work and my neck and arms are really sore but I feel accomplished non the less.

I'm also adding a picture of the new bedding I got for the twin bed we are putting in the nursery. I thought this would be a good idea for when I'm in and out of bed breastfeeding. My husband works super early and long hours so I figure instead of waking him constantly I could just crash in the little bed during the first few weeks when baby will be nursing a ton. That is if this whole breastfeeding this works out....
