It was . . . not terrible. I wouldn’t be rushing to get more though.
I marinated it in a mix of olive oil, white wine vinegar, paprika, cumin, black pepper, sea salt, and cayenne (similar to the recipe I linked here), and broiled it with onion and bell pepper. It would have been nicer flame grilled I think, but it was getting dark already. The pepper and onion were really good.
As far as the heart goes, it wasn’t too chewy, but there were still a couple bites that just tasted off to me. But hey! I managed to get the connective tissue well enough that I didn’t have any really unpalatable bites.
Mr. lurker has had enough mockery in the last couple days, though, that I think he will not be coming home with a bag full of lamb hearts again any time soon. (It wasn’t me . . . I just made sure certain that certain mutual friends knew he’d come home with a bag of hearts on a whim and left me to prepare them.)
