Usually when I make biscuits theyend up resembling the Scone of Stone from Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels, but today I was making some squash soup for lunch, and we were out of bread to go with it, so I decided to give it another go.

They turned out gloriously. So light and fluffy.

I've posted the recipe I used below.

As for the squash soup, fried some onion, sage and rosemary in some butter, threw in mason jar of chicken broth from the freezer, and a ziplock sandwich bag full of Pennsylvania crookneck squash purée I processed earlier in the week. Added a couple of teaspoons of honey, and some salt and pepper, and then thinned it a bit with a little water. It was really nice also.
