The entire company (all twenty of them) have come in from our out of state offices to be part of a planned retreat in the mountains during this week. Since I'm the only part time worker, I wasn't invited. *womp womp* However, I am invited to the pre-retreat barbecue at someone's house tomorrow.

I have pretty bad anxiety when in large groups and am already stressing about it. I'm pretty much the only person in the company without a lot of experience in the field we work in, so I know I can't talk shop very effectively. Groupthink, I need conversational pointers, if I am going to go to this event! How do I chat with coworkers that I know very little about? (I am already thinking of not going just because it takes down my stress level by about twenty notches, but as an adult I should go I guess?)
