So I have about a billion novels I have to prioritize reading, but the month of October is when I really start craving scary stories (like most people, I guess). I really enjoy a good scary short story, and I feel like scary stories tend to flourish in that genre.

I have a copy of a book called The Haunted Omnibus, which is a collection of short stories that deal with ghosts, hauntings, and generally creepy atmosphere from a variety of authors.

But, I need more recommendations! GT: what are your favorite (short) ghost stories? I’m even interested in scary poetry. I’m not really familiar with any authors who do scary poetry, with the exception of Edgar Allen Poe and Robert Browning.
