My grandma lives in a country in Asia, and I don't see her very often. The last time I saw her was for 2 weeks in December after 5 years of not seeing her in person. Anyway, she's a pretty damn cool grandma. E.g. she's still young, she's fashionable, she has her eyeliner and brows tattooed on, she's trying to make her own wine, etc. Because I don't see her often and because I have this perception of her being pretty cool and modern, I was caught off guard by something she said today.

She was telling me how pretty I looked in a picture I have on Facebook in which I'm holding these two bouquets of flowers during my friend's surprise proposal back in May (my friend and I are both 22). I told her about that day, and she said something along the lines of, "Oh, so your friends are getting engaged? I guess you should be thinking about that soon, too!"

OH, GRANDMA. YOU SO SILLY! I told her that maybe once I was done with school (uh, so that's at least another 4 years), but even then, little does she know that I have no interest in marrying anyone anytime soon or within my 20s. I don't even know if I want to get married, ever. I don't fault my grandma, though, but it was a bit of a cringe-worthy moment.
