I've never made it before, and I was kind of nervous about it even though it's only slightly more complicated than making apple sauce. I sampled some before I put it in jars, and it's just the right amount of sweet and just a bit more chunky than store-bought apple butter. In other words, it's perfect, to me, at least.

Blergh, I'm effectively out of jars, but I still have more stuff I want to can. There's something quite tedious about having to buy more jars when I thought I had enough for all of my projects.
