There are four rules on their website, but you don't actually have to follow them in order to use the software. They help, but when you're just getting started, it's okay to skip a few things.
Unlike Mint, they don't have access to your accounts, so they don't auto-update. On their FAQ page, they said they have no plans to automate entry - apparently manual entry is the key to making you realize how exactly you spend your money, so you can make better decisions in the future. I can sort of see that. I ignored it last month while I was studying for exams, and uh, wow...I will definitely be more careful this month.
