Not sure if anyone has posted about this yet, but Mike Priefer - the coach accused of some serious homophobic remarks - has issued a statement in response to Chris Kluwe's accusations. And of course he used the classic "but I know gay people! I can't be a homophobe!" defense! To quote:
I want to be clear that I do not tolerate discrimination of any type and am respectful of all individuals. I personally have gay family members who I love and support just as I do any family member.
This from the same man who is quoted as saying:
We should round up all the gays, send them to an island, and then nuke it until it glows.
Oh bigots, never change. Your consistency in denial is so necessary in this crazy world we live in.
(Also, I would be remiss to mention Kluwe without posting this)
