So the last few days I’ve been reading up a lot on robo-advisors, and in my reading and searching I came across this site:
Look, I understand that they’re trying to appeal to women, because statistically women don’t engage in investing and wealth management as much as men; and their statistics are solid in that we do live longer and get paid less. But does the layout of the page have to have some gauzy white woman dancing in a field like this is a tampon ad?
“I’ve built up my capital and now I can ride a bike in white shorts!”
I chose another robo-advisor to go with, one that doesn’t charge fees or try to appeal to women with blog posts using cutesy titles like “Wonky Financial Terms Women Should Know”.
