Where do I start?
I got a canning starter kit from Ball, which has instructions, a basket to put in the stockpot, and some jars. The reason I’ve never done this is because my mom used to like to tell me that all my cans will explode. Rationally I know she is probably not right, but I have an overactive imagination so... I haven’t canned until now.
Do I really need to be afraid of things exploding???
What sorts of recipes are good? What’s best to can? Give me all your knowledge! And your grandma’s knowledge, if possible!
