And its adventures today. I know I just posted, but this is probably the main thing I'm stressing out about so it ties into the handling stress thing. I need to complain to folk who understand.

My vagina is broken.

I went to the gyno, but didn't get to see my regular doctor as she was out. The woman looked at me and was like "yeah, definitely yeast, possibly BV too." Fanfuckingtastic. Checked my twat swab under a scope and saw the Yeastie Boys, and took a culture that I need to call and find out about on Tuesday. Gave me one dose of Diflucan and a good 'ole 5 day dose of Metrogel. I used Metrogel about a year ago for BV and sweet Jesus did it fuck me up. It mostly got rid of the BV, as well as any digested food in my stomach (made me vomit for dayz) and gave me a yeast infection. It was about a month cycle of BV, yeast, BV, yeast. And puking. It was fun. I enjoyed it and would love to do it again.

I took the Diflucan on Wednesday and it kind of helped, but not as much as it usually does. I also really didn't want to touch the Metrogel until I knew for sure that I had BV. Hell I don't want to touch it even if I do. But this yeast infection was RAGING. So to the google.

First was heavily diluted tea tree oil via tampon. I am still mildly concerned that I poisoned myself. It...kind of helped? while the tampon was in, but once I took it out it was back to hell. And I smelled like tea tree oil all day.

Called my gyno somewhere in between basically crying. She told me take a second dose of Diflucan on Saturday, and to not use any antibiotics until I call on Tuesday. If I do have BV, she said I don't have to use the Metrogel and she'd call me in a script for clindamycin (I believe that's what she said). And if I still have symptoms to come back in. And to take probiotics.

BACK TO GOOGLE. Something in my mind clicked back from when I bought coconut oil for the first time and was googling what to do with it, and remember seeing something about it having anti-fungal properties. Apparently it can be used to treat yeast and (according to random websites that have no credentials, I imagine) BV. At this point, fuck it. Why not. People use it as lube all the time, it ain't gonna hurt me.

So I'm currently sitting here with a tampon that I soaked in melted extra virgin coconut oil up my vagina.

And it's....helping.

I mean, I just put it in, but for only being in there for a few minutes, the itchiness and generally burning/discomfort is slowly subsiding.

Huh. Well, ok. I'll accept this.

I'm considering (though I don't know if this is a good idea or not, someone weigh in) that regardless of whether I have symptoms or not by the time I call on Tuesday, asking if I can come back in and be checked to make sure the BV is still there before I start using antibiotic gels or creams or whatever. I know BV can sometimes just go away on its own, and I'm hella hesitant to use any kind of antibiotics as I really, really don't fare well with them.

Thank you all for letting me coherently complain about the misadventures of my vagina.

And apparently coconut oil helps yeast infections. We really do just need to rub it all over ourselves and everything that we own.

ETA: I...taste coconut oil in the back of my throat? What the hell?
