*I've worked as server on and off for 14 years and decided to try hostessing a try. The manager of the restaurant where I host requested that I train for serving...Not excited about this. What I enjoy about being a host, is that I get to interact with customers with little commitment. I walk around, fill the waters, chat, find out where people are coming from/going, etc. If I don't like a customer, I can just be polite, walk away and keep my interactions to a minimum. Serving, well, that requires constant attention and a whole other shits to deal with. The money will most likely be more, but *shrug*.
And the bartender has been getting under my skin this week, so, that requires interaction with said person. This is going to be fun!
