Imaginary Friends

I'm about to go off to sleep, but one of my friends posted this thing to Facebook and it got me thinking. Now, putting aside the creepiness of those stories, I just started thinking about imaginary friends and stuff.

I had one when I was a kid. I was really shy, plus overweight with glasses and frizzy hair, so I didn't really have a lot of friends. But I was all sorts of attached to our family dog, Venus. She was a massive Pitbull who was the sweetest, most protective dog I'd ever met. I'll have to show you guys a picture of her one day, she was all the cutes :)

Unfortunately when I was around 5 or 6 we had to put her to sleep because she was old and sick (she was actually my dad's dog from before my parents were even married). So she "left" (Mamadukes told me we just gave her away. THANKS MOM) but I didn't want her to, so I just...made her my imaginary friend. I didn't genuinely believe she was "real" or anything, I was quite aware that she wasn't actually there, but I just kept her around. Only she could talk now.

What about you guys? Did you have imaginary friends when you were young? What about those of you who have kids? Do your kids have imaginary friends? Any creepy stories of them like the ones in the link I shared? Any funny stories?
