If you make editorial comments about a department in a an email to a co-worker asking a question that department needed answered, it's best to delete those comments when you forward that answer to the department in question because when the person in that department - let's call him Dweeze - sees those comments, that person is likely to respond with a corporate nasty email wherein he says that your answer isn't appropriate, your interpretation of the question isn't accurate, and that you actually need to contact IT to ask them if there will be IT costs associated with your proposed solution instead of asking the person who helped you come up with your proposed solution, because after all, neither of you is in IT.

Not that something like that just happened.
