Hi GT! My holiday present to myself this year was an instant pot and I’d love some helpful starter recommendations on good and easy recipes to start using it for. I’ve never used a pressure cooker before or basically any of the 900 machines an instant pot is, except a slow cooker, so I am feeling a little overwhelmed!
What did you first make when you got your instant pot (dont say eggs, I eat so many hard boiled eggs a day at work, I do not want them when I get home)?? What do you think are some good starter recipes? What is your favorite thing to make in it? What are your best tips and tricks? What was easy and what was hard? What do you wish you’d known or done differently?
My big goals for the instant pot are to be able to make food fast and easily and reduce waste. For instance - the fact that it can pressure cook chicken from frozen is really appealing for me, because then I don’t have to bother remembering to thaw the chicken or put it in a slow cooker that morning, or waste chicken after thawing it. I cook just for myself and while I like leftovers or things that can be used for multiple meals, please don’t send me anything where I’m going to have to eat chili every day for lunch for a week. I have the Instant Pot Duo Plus (whatever the one is that is 9 in 1).
I love you all and thank you in advance!!
