A wee bit of shameless self-promotion here. I’ve been trying to figure out for a while how I can do my bit to make invisible illness in general, and idiopathic hypersomnia in particular, more visible. Someone in the IH Facebook group recently posted a side-by-side selfie comparing ‘good’ and ‘bad’ days, noting that the general public rarely gets to see us on the bad days, which contributes to the invisibility. So I’ve started a blog to share a selfie of myself each day, along with how long I’ve slept, the meds I’ve taken and how I’m feeling.
